Founders Day Celebrates Stafford, Moon Landing Anniversary
A parade, fireworks and celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing will be among the Saturday festivities.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — That's one small step for man, one giant celebration for Stafford Township. Stafford's Founders Day takes place Saturday, June 8 and will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
The day begins with a breakfast at the Stafford Fire House for local senior citizens at 8 a.m. Then at 10 a.m., the Hometown Parade marches from the Fire House to Route 9 North.
Then all other festivities will take place at the Doc Cramer Sports Complex, beginning at 2 p.m.

Activities will include:
- opening ceremonies
- Southern Regional High School vocal ensemble
- parade awards
- Little Miss Stafford and Little Towne Crier Contest
- craft and food vendors
- Jr. Miss Stafford Pageant
- Miss Stafford Pageant
- MoonPie eating contest
- DJ dance party
- mechanical and inflatable rides
A fireworks display will take place at dusk.
