Free Shakespeare Performance for All at Brackman School Today

The Barnegat Library is teaming up with Barnegat schools to bring a Shakespeare show to the township today with two free performances open to all residents.

Shakespeare LIVE!, a touring troupe from the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, brings A Midsummer Night's Dream to Russel O. Brackman Middle School with 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. shows.

Midsummer, one of the Bard's best-loved comedies, follows young lovers, comic characters and powerful fairies on an adventure of confused identities and amusing hijinks.

The visit by the troupe is part of The Stages Festival and Family Week at the Theatre, an annual statewide event that provides discounted and free theatre performances, workshops and events for families throughout the month of March.
