Fundraiser to Benefit USA Hometown Heroes and the Ashley Lauren Foundation

Dinner & Show fundraiser-Dream Kings, Doo Wop, oldies to benefit USA Hometown Heroes and the Ashley Lauren Foundation

Elvis has entered the building…….Come Stroll Down Memory Lane with The Dream Kings who will be performing doo wop, oldies and music from Elvis Presley.

The Ocean County AHEPA Family is sponsoring this fundraising event on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Proceeds will benefit The Ashley Lauren Foundation- Hope and Healing for Children with Cancer and USA Hometown Heroes.

Tickets are $35 per person and it includes a buffet dinner and show. The event is being held at the St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Community Center which is located at 2200 Church Road in Toms River, NJ and the festivities will begin at 6:00 p. m. Don’t forget to wear your dancing shoes as dancing is encouraged throughout the show.

The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) and the Daughters of Penelope (DOP) are committed to assisting in their local communities through philanthropic and community service endeavors. Over the past twenty plus years AHEPA, Ocean County Chapter #467 and the DOP, Aphrodite #374 have continuously contributed to various organizations throughout Ocean County as well as assisted with Hurricane Sandy Relief.

We are proud to have chosen these two organizations to benefit from the proceeds of this event. The goal of the Ashley Lauren Foundation is to ease the journey of pediatric cancer patients by providing direct financial and material assistance and the purpose of USA Hometown Heroes is to support local communities when unexpected needs arise during a crisis through goodwill, professional and financial assistance, and advocacy.

The AHEPA Family is a fraternal organization, founded in 1922 in Atlanta, Georgia; AHEPA is the largest and oldest grassroots association of American citizens of Greek heritage and Philhellenes with more than 400 chapters across the United States, Canada, and Europe. The Daughters of Penelope an affiliate organization of AHEPA was founded in San Francisco in 1929 and it is the first women’s organization of its kind established in the United States. It also has over 200 chapters across the United States, Canada and Europe.

The mission of AHEPA Family is to promote the ancient Greek ideals of Education, Philanthropy, Civic Responsibility, and Family and Individual Excellence through community service and volunteerism
