Harbor House 5k Color Run for Shelter

Harbor House 5k Color Run for Shelter

Please help our Homeless and Runaway Youth!

Harbor House, a safe haven for youth, is hosting its 5th annual 5K Run-Walk at First Energy Park (home of the Lakewood BlueClaws) in Lakewood, New Jersey on Saturday, November 1, 2014 starting at 8 am.This year we are adding a new and fun element with a color-themed event called Color Run for Shelter.

Participants will start out with an all-white t-shirt and will finish decked out in a spattering of bright, dazzling color. How it works: at each kilometer of the race, runners are blitzed by volunteers, sponsors, and staffers with a new color (1K is yellow, 2K is blue, 3K is green, 4K is pink, and 5K is… a “color extravaganza!”). And how’s this for a goodie bag: every runner gets a bag of color to put his or her own artistic skills to the test!

The event will feature a 5K Run, a 5K Walk and a one-mile fun run for the kids. In addition to the run/walk, there will be a mini kids fair, along with vendors and community resource information tables. We’re expecting close to 300 people this year and hope you will join us.
Register by yourself or as a Team and enjoy some fun with your friends!
