Julius 'Chuck' Lautner, Vietnam Veteran, Dies At 65

Services for longtime Waretown resident slated for Thursday afternoon.

Julius “Chuck” Lautner, 65, of Waretown, passed away at home on Sunday, May 31, 2015.

He was born in Somerville, lived in Rocktown and was a resident of Waretown for the past 42 years. He served in the U.S. Army and did an extended tour in Vietnam from 1969-1971. Chuck was the owner-operator of Allied Marine Services for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, friends and neighbors.

He was predeceased by his father, Julius in 1996 and his mother, Claire in 2012. Surviving is his wife, Sharon; his two daughters, Carisa Wilcox and Shannon Lautner, both of Little Egg Harbor; and his sister, Deborah Heinsman (Michael) of Franklinville. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Reese, Caelyn and Avery Wilcox; his nephew, Justin Hasenfus and niece, Maggie Heinsman.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Thursday, June 4, with a service to follow at Wood Funeral Home, 134 East Main St., Tuckerton. Cremation will be private.
