Lacey Cops: Barnegat Woman Charged With Shoplifting, Possession Of Syringe
Megan Cottrell of West Bay Avenue spotted taking 14 items and putting them in her purse, police chief says.

Lacey police recently arrested a Barnegat woman after the store manager in Walmart saw her take 14 clothing items and hide them in her purse, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to Walmart on Route 9 North in the Lanoka Harbor section of the township at 6:09 p.m. on Feb. 24 on a shoplifting report. Megan Cottrell, 36, West Bay Avenue, was seen taking the clothing items, putting them in her purse and attempting to leave the store. She was also found with a hypodermic syringe and drug paraphernalia, the chief said.
Cottrell was taken to police headquarters, where she was processed and charged with shoplifting, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia, Paprota said.
