Man Who Robbed Barnegat Bank Found, Arrested In Long Island: Cops
The Pennsylvania man was found in Long Island two weeks after the robbery, police said.

BARNEGAT, N.J. — A man who robbed a Barnegat bank March 29 was found and arrested Sunday, police said. The Pennsylvania man who robbed M&T bank was found in New Hyde Park, Long Island, N.Y., the Barnegat Police Department announced Monday.
Police identified Nguyen as the suspect April 2 after an extensive investigation from Barnegat PD, officials said. They issued a warrant for the Newtown Square resident, whose location was not known.
The investigation took Barnegat officers to several locations, including South Jersey, Philadelphia and New York City. Barnegat police found a vehicle connected to Nguyen in Queens. Subsequent investigation and surveillance resulted in his arrest, police said.

Nguyen was charged with robbery, terroristic threats and theft connected to the M&T robbery, police said. Following a short foot pursuit in Long Island, Nguyen was taken to the Nassau County Correction Center. He is currently held there, police said.

"This is precisely the kind of collaboration and teamwork we strive for in law enforcement," Barnegat Police Chief Keith Germain said. "Over a dozen federal, state, county, and local agencies from three states worked together and leveraged their individual knowledge and expertise to safely bring this subject into custody."
Barnegat police posted pictures of Nguyen on Facebook on March 29, when he was unidentified. He walked into the bank on 580 N. Main St., handing the teller a note and not showing a weapon, police said.
