Manahawkin Cancer Foundation Launches 'Movember' Fundraiser
Teams, including many southern Ocean County police departments, will grow facial hair for male patients battling cancer.
SHIP BOTTOM, NJ — If you mustache why people are growing their facial hair in southern Ocean County, it's for good reason. The Movember movement joined forces with David’s Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation to raise funds and awareness for male patients battling cancer.
Movember is a national campaign that asks guys to grow a "mo" to raise awareness for men's issues such as prostate and testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
DDBCF and Swing Graphics have partnered to raise awareness and provide hope for the cause. All proceeds from the local event will help male patients battling cancer.

You can donate to teams, including many southern Ocean County police departments, and several individuals raising money for the cause. Or you can become a fundraiser.
The event culminates with shaves and cuts at the Pop Up Barbershop at The Arlington (1302 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom). Shaves will be limited to buzz and trim only because of time constraints. This will take place from 3-8 p.m. Nov. 29.
