Mary Vedrook Rasmussen Of Barnegat Dies At 70
Services will be held today and Friday in East Brunswick.

Mary Vedrook Rasmussen, died on Monday, July 20, 2015, at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 70.
Born in East Brunswick, she resided in South River for many years before moving to Barnegat in 2014. She was a social worker and crisis outreach counselor for Capital Health in Trenton, where she worked for the past 25 years.
Surviving are two sons, James and his wife Lisa Rasmussen of East Brunswick, and Gary Rasmussen of South River; two daughters, Kathaleen and her husband Michael Dail of Highlands, and Jamie and her husband Matthew Troster of Atlantic Highlands; two former daughters-in-law, Dorothy Rasmussen of Metuchen, and Betty Williams of South River; a sister, Irene Sayers of Cumming, GA; and five grandchildren, James, Roman, Christopher, Jack, and Devan.
Relatives and friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 23 at the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 24 in the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
