State Department of Environmental Protection will notify township when advisory can be lifted

Township officials are now advising more sections of town to boil water for cooking and drinking after a water main break on Tuesday afternoon.
A precautionary boil water advisory is in effect for Carriage Estates, Heritage Point North and South, Horizons and West Bay Avenue from Pheasant Run West to Route 72, according to information released by the Township Clerk's office.
The township will send out a Nixle alert as soon as the state Department of Environmental Protection says the advisory can be lifted. The process can take up to 24 hours or more, township officials said.
Residents are asked to alert neighbors, friends and family in those developments of the advisory.
