NAIOP New Jersey: Call for Entries for Deal of the Year Awards

NAIOP New Jersey, the commercial real estate development association, is accepting entries for the 2016 Deal of the Year Awards. The awards will be presented at the 30th Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala, which will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, N.J.

NAIOP NJ will present one award in each of the following categories: Industrial Deal of the Year, Office Deal of the Year and Mixed-Use Deal of the Year. To be eligible, a deal must include a commercial real estate component and at least one principal partner must be a NAIOP NJ member. New builds and adaptive re-use are eligible in all categories and the deal must have been substantially completed by December 31, 2016.

The size of the deal is not as important as its creativity, complexity and impact on the community. The deadline for entries is January 26, 2017 at 5 p.m. Details and the entry package are available at http://www.naiopnj.org/Gala30.

Gala Journal Design Competition

For the ninth consecutive year, NAIOP NJ will showcase original work by a talented designer on the cover of the Gala Journal and throughout the event. Cover design submissions are currently being accepted from association members and non-members who are design professionals, as well as students studying art, architecture and design. The winning selection will define the event’s color scheme, lighting and staging, and will be the template for marketing materials, signs, invitations, linens and the PowerPoint Awards Presentation.

NAIOP New Jersey's Gala attracts over 800 commercial and industrial real estate professionals each year. In addition to the Deal of the Year Awards, the evening will include the 30th Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards, the most prestigious honors in the real estate community. These include the Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors an individual who has had a distinguished record in service to the industry and community; the Impact Award, which recognizes firms and/or individuals that have had a significant impact on New Jersey's commercial and industrial real estate development industry; and the Industry Service Award, which goes to a firm, an individual or an entity that has made a substantial contribution in support of the goals of the commercial and industrial real estate industry.
