NJ Run For The Fallen Goes Through Barnegat Area Saturday
Military runners and support crews run one mile for each New Jersey service member who died during the War on Terror.

BARNEGAT, NJ — The New Jersey Run for the Fallen will push through Barnegat and Manahawkin on Saturday. Military runners and support crews run one mile for each New Jersey service member who died during the War on Terror.
Although they run one mile for every fallen hero, the total run represents all every fallen service member from New Jersey.
The opening ceremony took place Wednesday at The Naval Air Station Museum at Cape May Airport. Runners departed Thursday from Cape May Point and will finish Sunday with "The Last 5 Mile Run" in Holmdel.

Runners will have a team breakfast at 7 a.m. Saturday at Manahawkin Elks Lodge #2340. They'll finish the day at American Legion Post 129 in Toms River at 6 p.m.
