Ocean County Administrator Carl W. Block Hospitalized With Heart Problems

Ocean County Administrator and former Stafford Township Mayor Carl W. Block is in Jersey Shore University Medical Center after a severe blockage in his heart was discovered, according to app.com.

Block may have to have triple-coronary bypass surgery. The Ocean County Board of Freeholders on Wednesday appointed Michael J. Fiure - director of the county Department of Budget and Management to fill in for Block.

Block, 63, told the Asbury Park Press that said tests have shown he has several blockages.
