STAFFORD, NJ — Overnight closures of Route 9 between Stafford and Bass River townships are set to begin on April 3, according to the Department of Transportation.
From 8 p.m. April 3 until 6 a.m. April 4, and continuing nightly Monday through Friday for approximately one month, lane closures with alternating traffic will be required between Bay Avenue in Stafford Township and Ash Road in Bass River, Burlington County, the DOT said.
Part of a pavement preservation project, these closures are necessary to remove raised pavement markers (RPMs), striping, and rumble strips, according to the DOT. The pavement preservation work will include applying chip seal and is expected to begin in May, the DOT said.
