A. Paul King Park In Manahawkin Gets Upgrades
The park is getting a new picnic pavilion area, new restrooms and more handicap-accessible features.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — The A. Paul King County Park on Manahawkin Lake has been getting some upgrades. When work is completed, you'll see new restrooms, a new picnic pavilion for up to 100 people, a new grill and new sidewalks.
The park upgrades comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and will include parking spaces and bathroom entrance ramps. Officials expect work to be completed sometime this fall.
The park's swimming beach is open to the public throughout the summer. But the the park’s picnic area and the stationary bathroom facilities were closed for renovations.

"The improvements we are making to this site will make it more accessible for everyone using it and will modernize some of the facilities that are located there," Ocean County Freeholder Director Virginia E. Haines said in a statement.
