Power Out To Up To 1,500 In Barnegat: Police

BARNEGAT, NJ — Power has been knocked out to as many as 1,500 customers in the Pebble Beach section of Barnegat, township police said Monday morning.

Jersey Central Power & Light crews are on the scene, the company said in an update on the First Energy power outage map. Power is expected to be restored by 11 a.m., the outage map said.

The cause of the outage was not listed.

Officials have been warning residents to expect power outages and potential flooding as a nor'easter makes its way north along the coast Monday.
