BARNEGAT-MANAHAWKIN, NJ — New Jerseyans are heading to the polls Tuesday, June 4, to cast their votes in the 2024 Primary Election.

Both Barnegat and Stafford have municipal elections this year. Barnegat has two Township Committee seats open. Stafford is having a mayoral election and six Township Council seats are up for grabs. Voters also have county and federal elections.

  • Presidential Election: While Donald Trump and Joe Biden are the presumptive Republican and Democratic nominees, respectively, Democrat voters have other options on the ballot. These include anti-abortion activist Terrisa Bukovinac and "Uncommitted," a pro-Palestine protest vote.
  • U.S. Senate: Justin Murphy, Curtis Bashaw, Albert Harshaw and Christine Serrano Glassner are seeking the Republican nomination. Running as Democrats are Andy Kim, Patricia Campos-Medina and Lawrence Hamm.
  • House of Representatives (2nd Congressional District): Jeff Van Drew seeks the Republican nomination. Carolyn Rush, Joseph F. Salerno, Rodney A. Dean, Sr. and Tim Alexander are seeking the Democratic nomination.
  • Board of Commissioners: Running as Republicans are Berkeley Township Board of Education President Jennifer Bacchione and Manchester Mayor Robert Arace. For the Democratic ticket, Kenneth Seda and Karen Sugden are running together, as are Regina Discenza and Joseph Lamb.
  • Barnegat Township Committee: Two seats are open and Republican incumbents Pasquale (Pat) Pipi and Jake Townsend are running. No one filed to run as a Democrat.
  • Stafford Mayor: Current Mayor Robert Henken seeks a full term as a Republican. Joseph M. Mangino is running as a Democrat.
  • Stafford Township Council: Six seats are open. Seeking the Republican nomination are Amy Otte, Lisa Mower, Owen LaRocca, Christopher DarConte, Sergio Fossa and Steven Esposito, all on the same slate. On the Democratic slate are Lisa Bennett, Mark Marcello, Ellyn Hill, Wendy McConnell, Joseph Artura and Barbara Crystal.
