Prosecutor's Office: Stafford Man Charged With Failing To Register As Sex Offender
James D. Lynn, 63, could face up to five years in state prison, authorities say.

Detectives from the Vineland Police Department recently arrested a Stafford Township man for failing to comply with the requirements of Megan's Law, a spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said..
Ocean County Prosecutor Megan’s Law Unit Detective John M. Argento and Stafford Township Detective Drew G. Smith, opened an investigation into James D. Lynn, 63, of Stafford Township for failing to register properly pursuant to Megan's Law in Stafford Township, spokesman Al Della Fave said.
Registrants are required by state law to either register annually or every ninety days with the police department of the municipality where they live and when they change addresses, employment and schooling, he said.

Ocean County Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels approved the complaint and set Lynn's bail at $40,000 cash., The third degree crime of failure to register carries a maximum potential punishment of five years in state prison with up to a $15,000 fine, Della Fave said.
Vineland police located and arrested Lynn without incident in Vineland on March 11 on the Megan's Law warrant and other failure to appear warrants from a number of municipalities, he said.

Lynn was transferred to the Stafford Township police department for processing and then taken to the Ocean County Justice Facility in default of the bail.
