Residents Asked to Put Questions to Candidates at Tonight's Forum
Debate-style event will include input from the public

Barnegat residents have a chance tonight to ask their own questions of the five candidates for Barnegat Township Committee.
The candidates will gather for an open forum in the auditorium from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 27. The event is organized by the Ocean County League of Women Voters, and will be moderated by a League member from outside Barnegat.
Attendees are invited to submit questions in writing – bring your own pens, says event organizer Carol Woolley – or step up to a microphone that will be available and ask questions directly. Woolley said the moderator will approve the questions and will judge whether they're appropriate and if they have been addressed already.

The moderator will alternate between written and verbal questions, Woolley said. All five candidates whose names will appear on the November ballot have agreed to attend.
