Robert L. Giles, Former Commodore Of Surf City Yacht Club, Dies At 70

Robert Giles of Surf City, NJ, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Abington Jefferson Hospital. He was 70 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mary (Flemming) Giles. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Lineman) Giles; father of Diane German (Thaddeus) of Horsham, and Dr. Linda Giles of Downingtown; and the poppi of Deuce and Madison Mitchell.

Mr. Giles was a former auto mechanic who could fix anything. He was a member of Surf City Yacht Club and past commodore. Mr. Giles was a former past president of Gwynedd Mercy Academy and an avid golfer and fisherman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Francis R. C. Church, 4700 Long Beach Boulevard, Brant Beach. Friends will be received at the church until the time of the service.
