Rock Around the Pines: Sounds of Early Rock ’n’ Roll at Albert Music Hall
Featuring vintage rock n roll & rockabilly favorites, barbershop harmonies, and retro-inspired fun with music of the 1950s & early 1960s.

WARETOWN, NJ — Leather jackets, blue suede shoes, poodle skirts, and rockabilly rhythms are coming to Albert Music Hall on Saturday, May 16, as the venue hosts “Rock Around the Pines,” a special evening celebrating the sounds of 1950s and early 1960s rock ’n’ roll.
The themed show will feature five local acts performing classic jukebox favorites and early rock ’n’ roll hits throughout the night. Scheduled performers include Redbird & The Rubber Chickens, The Bluefins, Gilbert Family Band, Sadie Grove, and Billy Penn & The Inside Drivers, with each band performing a 30-minute set.
Guests are encouraged to get into the spirit of the evening by dressing in vintage-inspired attire and enjoying a night filled with nostalgic dance hall energy and rockabilly fun.

Adding to the atmosphere, local barbershop quartet Could Be Good will perform as guests arrive and are seated before the show begins.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with Could Be Good performing beginning at 6:00 p.m. The bands take the stage at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is $6 for adults and $1 for children under 12. Parking is free, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Albert Music Hall is cash-only throughout the venue.
The Hall’s recently renovated Pickin’ Shed will also be open for informal jam sessions during the evening, welcoming musicians of all skill levels to bring an instrument and join in.
Food offerings will include pulled pork, kielbasa and kraut, meatballs, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, a vegan chik’n patty sandwich, and Amish-made desserts. Guests can also browse the Hall’s gift shop and participate in the evening’s 50/50 raffle.
Operated by the Pinelands Cultural & Historical Preservation Society, Albert Music Hall has been presenting live roots music in Waretown for more than 50 years through weekly Saturday night shows and special events celebrating the musical traditions of the New Jersey Pinelands.
