Shooting In Beach Haven West Was A Suicide, Stafford Township Police Say
Police made the announcement because of rumors on social media
Stafford Township police say a 67-year-old Beach Haven West man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Friday morning.
Police departments generally do not announce suicides.
"Contrary to other accounts on social media, there have not bee any other "shootings in Stafford Township," according to a post on the police department's Facebook page.
