Southern Regional School District Holds Reorganization Meeting
Three reelected to seats in November.

Three members of the Southern Regional Board of Education took their oaths of office last night at the district's reorganization meeting.
Steven P. Berkheiser of Pond Hollow Lane, Christopher Taylor of Lyle Avenue and Keith Weidenhof of Lighthouse Drive were reelected to the board in the November election.
Superintendent Craig Henry thanked Berkheiser, Taylor and Weidenhof for their continued service, adding: "What sets this district apart is the quality of leadership."

Heather Tatur was named board president, and Thomas Serpico was named board vice president.
In other business, Henry noted that because Sandy forced the closure of Southern for five days, Feb. 18. and March 25-28 will now be scheduled school days. All five had previously been scheduled days off, but will now be used to "reclaim" the five days lost during Sandy, Henry said.
