UPDATE: Stafford Cops: Route 9 Southbound Reopened After Crash

Stafford Township police recently charged a Tuckerton man with careless driving after his box truck crossed over the southbound lane of Route 9 and struck a utility pole, and the front porch of a local business, according to the police department’s Facebook page.

The truck finally tipped over onto the front lawn of the ReMax. The accident happened at 1:37 p.m. on Tuesday, police said.

David Trettin, 41, sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment. Route 9 traffic was detoured for several hours while Atlantic City Electric replaced the pole, police said.
