Stafford Cops: Women Caught Selling Heroin, Drugs Found Near Baby

Members of the Stafford Township drug enforcement unit arrested a Moorhead Road woman after she was spotted selling heroin in the area.

Alesha Connelly, 22, was arrested for multiple drug offenses on Saturday after police received anonymous complaints of drug dealing. Police also found she was in possession of heroin and other drugs near her 14-month old baby, police said.

She was charged with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin, possession of prescription legend drugs without a prescription and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

Connelly was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River,where she was lodged on $75,000 bail.
