Stafford Township Wants Public's Input On Flooding
The Township will host a workshop on flood reduction and will ask the public about their experiences with flooding.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Stafford Township would like the public's input on flooding solutions. The Township will host a Drainage Workshop on flood reduction at 7 p.m. Monday night at the Stafford Township Municipal Complex (260 East Bay Ave.).
The Township administrator, engineer and superintendent of public works will review the short and longterm strategies to reduce flooding. The workshop will particularly focus on Ocean Acres and roadways that intersect with Route 9.
Discussed locations will include the Neptune Basin at the intersection of Route 72 and Neptune Drive, Atlantis Avenue to Forecastle Avenue, the intersections of Route 9 and Oxycocus Road, and Route 9 and McKinley Avenue.

After the presentation, the Township will ask the public to provide its input on flood-prone areas and ask questions.
The workshop will help determine what may be done in the future to increase the town drainage system's capacity to reduce flooding.
