Stafford Will Discontinue Dial A Ride Saturday Services Soon

The township will also no longer provide services for nursing homes and assisted living, administrator says

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ - Stafford Township has changed the schedule for its Dial A Ride program and will no longer provide Saturday services, Township Administrator James Moran said.

The township will also no longer provide services to nursing homes or assisted living facilities, since that responsibility belongs to the individual homes, he said.

"Technically they are supposed to provide services for their patients," Moran said. "Dial A Ride was never intended to be a service for assisted living facilities."

The move enables the township to reduce the number of drivers needed from three to two, he said.

"In order to serve our residents in the most effective and cost efficient manner the Stafford Township Dial A Ride program will be changing the run times, operating hours and discontinuing all rehabilitation center pick-ups effective Monday, March 19, 2018," according to a post on the township website.
