Supermoon Lunar Eclipse Is In Full Effect In Ocean County

Have you gotten outside to look yet?

If you haven’t been outside yet Sunday evening to see the supermoon eclipse, the time is now.

The clouds that covered the sky all day have cleared almost completely, and the view is spectactular (if you’re an astronomy lover). The moon will be fully eclipsed until about 11:23 p.m. and then it will slowly come out of the Earth’s shadow.

The last time we could see a lunar eclipse like this one in New Jersey was in 1982. You won’t be able to see another one like this until 2033.
