You'll have to slow down on Long Beach Island, starting on Monday.
Speed limits on the Boulevard will be lowered. Traffic signals will be turned on again on Friday, May 13, to get locals and visitors acclimated to traffic lights before the start of the summer season.

"Avoid the "bad luck" associated with Friday the 13th and USE EXTRA CAUTION when approaching lighted intersections after the traffic signals have been turned on," Surf City police posted on their Facebook page.
