Thomas B. Reed, Jr. Of Barnegat Dies At 80

Thomas B. Reed, Jr., 80, of Barnegat passed away on January 14, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.

A US Navy Veteran, he retired from the state Department of Environmental Protection and was an active participant in the preservation of Sunfish Pond. He was a member of the F&AM Mariners Lodge 150, Barnegat and Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Warren County Forest # 14. An avid outdoorsman, Tom loved to hunt, fish, camp, garden, travel and spend time with his family.

Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ruth Reed, he is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Gabriele (Gaby); three children, Thomas A. Reed, Donna Reed, Joann and husband Jerry Maurio, Jr.; three wonderful grandchildren, Ella Reed, Randi and husband Pat Mulreaney, David and wife Molly Cary; four amazing great-grandchildren, Liam, Bradley, Josh and Cole; a brother, Richard Reed of CO; three brothers-in-law, Joseph and wife Patti Neuhof, Stuart and wife Diane Neuhof, Jeff Neuhof; two nieces; two nephews; one great-nephew; and many extended family and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, followed by a 4:30 p.m. Memorial Service at the Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ.
