Township Committee to Meet Once A Month Through Summer

No meeting tonight; Committee to gather only twice more through end of August

The Barnegat Township Committee is now on a summer meeting schedule, said administrator David Breeden today, and will meet only twice over the next two months.

The township calendar was drawn up to include regular twice-monthly meetings, but the Committee has chosen, as it did last year, to scale the public meeting schedule back to once a month for June, July and August, Breeden said.

As a result, tonight's scheduled meeting has been cancelled.

"There are less items to cover, and people are busy with vacations and other matters," said Breeden.

The next meeting of the Township Committee will be held Tuesday, July 5, followed by another on Monday, Aug. 1. The twice-monthly schedule will resume in September.
