Vicari Backtracks On Sexual Harassment Lawsuit, Now Says It 'Has Merit'
Suit alleging gender discrimination and sexual harassment on part of ex-county consultant filed by supervisor in Buildings and Grounds

Although longtime Freeholder Joseph H. Vicari previously called a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against the county and an ex-county consultant frivolous, he now says the suit “has merit” according to app.com.
Ocean County and former consultant Joseph M. Veni - who was paid up to $150,000 as an engineering consultant in the Buildings and Grounds department - were named in the suit filed by Rosemary Mennone, the general supervisor of the department.
Vicari was questioned about the lawsuit by Timothy E. Ryan, his Democratic challenger in the race for the lone freeholder seat up this year and a Beachwood resident at the Aug. 6 freeholder meeting.
