Vomiting Barnegat Woman Charged With Child Endangerment After Drugs Found In Diaper: Police
Breaking: The 2-year-old's father also was charged in the Toms River incident, police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Barnegat woman who was vomiting in a Toms River park has been charged with child endangerment after she was found with several drugs in her possession and some were found in her son's diaper, Toms River police said.
Erica Richter, 32, of Barnegat, is being held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, in lieu of $50,000 bail, Toms River Police spokesman Ralph Stocco said. Also arrested was Richard Olivadotti, 39, of Maine Street, Toms River, who co-parents the 2-year-old boy, Stocco said. Olivadotti has posted $50,000 bail, he said.
Toms River Police Officer Austin Pelka came upon a suspicious car in Skyview Park about 12:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, Stocco said. As Pelka drove by he observed Richter vomiting in the parking lot, and a small child standing in the front seat, Stocco said.

Pelka approached Richter and Olivadotti and immediately smelled the odor of burning marijuana, he said.
During the subsequent investigation, Pelka found marijuana, suboxone, oxycodone, cyclobenzaprine, pipes, and straws, Stocco said. Both were arrested and child protective services was contacted, he said.

While looking after the child at police headquarters an additional bag of marijuana was located in his diaper, Stocco said.
Both Olivadotti and Richter were charged with child endangerment, possession of controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia, he said.
