Waretown Restaurant Holding Coast Guard Fundraiser

The Jersey Shore continues its all-hands-on-deck efforts to help the Coast Guard during the government shutdown.

The Jersey Shore's all-hands-on-deck effort to help the Coast Guard during the federal government shutdown continues. Breakers Kitchen & Tap will hold a fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 31 at their restaurant on 537 Route 9, Waretown.

Proceeds will support the Jersey Shore chapter of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Association, a fellowship group. Breakers — co-hosting the event with the Backward Flag Brewing Co. of Forked River and Heavy Reel Brewing Co. of Seaside Heights — will hold a "Tricky Tray Benefit."

For the Tricky Tray raffle, all potential prizes will be lined up on tables with jars in front of them. Customers can purchase as many raffle tickets as they want and put them in the jars. Winners will be selected at the end of the event. Organizations such as Down the Hatchet in Toms River and Harley-Davidson of Ocean County will donate prizes.
