Waretown Wawa Closes Permanently After Water Damage
They relocated all employees to nearby Wawa locations, according to a note from the store.

WARETOWN, NJ — The Wawa in Waretown permanently closed earlier this month after 26 years in service. The store made the difficult decision to close after evaluating repairs needed for structural and water damage.
They relocated all employees to different Wawa locations nearby, according to their note to the Waretown community. They encouraged customers to visit Wawa locations at 550 North Main St., Barnegat and 444 South Main St., Forked River.
"We will also be continuing to fulfill all our longstanding commitments to our local heroes in the Waretown fire and police departments and some schools who we have partnered with for many years," the note said.
