Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Barnegat

N.J. Lottery officials have announced the locations of the retailers who sold winning Powerball tickets for Saturday’s drawing, and two were from Ocean County.

The historic jackpot exceed $900 million; no one won, which means Wednesday’s big prize will be more than $1.4 billion.

Here are the Ocean County locations:

• WAWA #8309, 945 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat
• Scotts Superette, 19 Main St., New Egypt

The jackpot at draw time was $947.9 million. Although there was no top prize winning ticket sold, there are 29 New Jersey Lottery ticketholders who have $50,000 third prizewinning tickets that matched four white balls and the Powerball for the drawing, according to lottery officials.

In addition to the third prizewinning tickets, there were 791,942 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $3,872,897 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300.

These winning tickets matched four white balls and the Powerball for the drawing. These third-prize winning tickets would have been worth $150,000 each if they were purchased with the Powerplay multiplier.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, Jan. 9 drawing were: 16, 19, 32, 34, and 57. The Red Power Ball number was 13. The Multiplier number was 03.
