BARNEGAT, N.J. — A woman was charged with using a false identity to work as a Certified Nurse's Aide at the Barnegat Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, the NJ Office of Attorney General announced Monday. Christine Sanford assumed the identity of another CNA, the OAG said.

Sanford, 31, of Atlantic City, worked at the Barnegat Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in November 2018. She used another identity to obtain work because the NJ Department of Health revoked her Nurse Aide certification in 2017, the OAG said.

The Health Department found Sanford unqualified for certification pursuant to state law, the OAG said. She was charged with forgery, identity theft and uttering of false government documents — all third-degree crimes — the OAG said.
