• International Paper Closing Barrington, NJ Plant; 130 Employees Impacted as the Mayor Issues Statement (42freeway.com) — International Paper is shutting down its Barrington corrugated box plant this September, eliminating about 130 jobs and ending decades of local operations at 100 East Gloucester Pike. Only eight affected workers live in Barrington, but Mayor Kyle Hanson says the borough will coordinate with Camden County and state agencies to connect all displaced employees with job and training resources as the company shifts investment to newer facilities elsewhere. 
• Corrugated Demand Gets Cut Down to Size – June 2026 M&A Activity (thetargetreport.com) — International Paper plans to close its corrugated packaging plant in Barrington, shifting that production to other regional facilities by late third quarter, which could affect local jobs and tax revenues. The broader industry report explains how new right-sized packaging technology and corporate consolidation are reshaping where and how corrugated boxes are made nationwide.
• Woman on White Horse Pike Arrested in Haddon Heights for Sus... (theretrospect.com) — A woman found stumbling along the White Horse Pike in Haddon Heights on June 21 was arrested after officers observed signs of drug influence and found a vial of suspected crystal meth. Because Haddon Heights police headquarters is under renovation, she was transported to Barrington Police Headquarters, where she was charged with drug possession and being under the influence.
