$10K Goal Met To Rebuild Boardwalk Trails In Basking Ridge
Just before the New Year deadline, Somerset County rallied together to raise $10K to repair 4 miles of damaged trails at Lord Stirling Park.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Just before the New Year deadline, Somerset County residents rallied together to raise more than $10,000 to repair 4 miles of damaged trails at Lord Stirling Park.
"I am thrilled to know we have so many generous donors within the community who have contributed to the beloved boardwalk trails at the Environmental Education Center. I am also grateful for the support of the Park Foundation in running the campaign on our behalf. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but are excited to continue enhancing the trails for all to enjoy," said Carrie Springer, a manager with the Somerset County Park Commission's Environmental Science Department.
The fundraiser was started by the Somerset County Park Foundation and the Somerset County Park Commission's Environmental Science Department with a deadline of Dec. 31.
