2 Basking Ridge Men Arrested For DWI

Bernards Township Police also made 5 other arrests on charges including drug possession, warrant, and hindering apprehension.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Two Basking Ridge men were arrested recently for driving while intoxicated in the township, according to the Bernards Township Police blotter.

On Nov. 22 at 7:33 p.m.: Raymond Macnaul, 59, of Basking Ridge man was arrested for DWI. Macnaul was involved in a traffic accident on Spring Valley Boulevard. Officers on scene determined that Macnaul was impaired due to alcohol. He was arrested, charged and released pending a court appearance.

On Nov. 14 at 12:01 a.m.: Lauren Quigley, 37, of Bridgewater woman was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Quigley was stopped by Officer Mulhall for driving with a suspended license. During the stop, she attempted to discard heroin from her jacket pocket on the side of the road. Drug paraphernalia was also discovered in her possession. She was arrested, charged and released pending a court appearance.

On Nov. 14 at 11:02 p.m.: Davonn Daves, 25, of Easton, Pennsylvania man was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Daves was stopped by Officer Zolnierowski for driving with a suspended license. A warrant for $950 from the Bernards Township Municipal Court was discovered. He was arrested and charged with driving while suspended. He was later released on his own recognizance.

On Nov. 20 at 1:48 p.m.: Darnell J. Smith of Louisville was arrested for drug possession. Smith was stopped by Officer Girard for driving an unregistered vehicle. During the stop, it was determined that Smith did not possess a valid license. He was also found in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. He was arrested, charged, and released pending a court appearance.

On Nov. 29 at 10:40 a.m.: Kenneth Porreca, 41, of Franklin Lakes man was arrested for DWI. Porreca was stopped by Officer Baxter for failing to maintain a lane. After field sobriety tests, he was determined to be impaired. He was arrested, charged, and released pending a court appearance.

On Dec. 1 at 12:45 p.m.: Jameel Alston, 37, of Newark was arrested for hindering apprehension. Alston was stopped for an equipment violation. He advised Officer Zolnierowski that he did not have his license in his possession. Alston then purposely gave false information to the officer. A driver’s license was later found on Alston’s person. He was arrested, charged and released pending a court appearance.
