2 Cars Stolen From Far Hills Driveway

A resident on Lake Road reported that when he woke up two of his cars were stolen from the driveway: blotter.

FAR HILLS, NJ — Two cars were stolen from the driveway of a Far Hills home, police reported.

A resident on Lake Road reported that when he woke up on Sept. 13 and went outside at around 5 a.m., he saw that two of their cars were missing from the driveway, Far Hills Police reported.

The keys were left inside of the unlocked vehicle when taken.

On Sept. 13 at approximately 5 a.m.: The Far Hills Police were dispatched to a residence on Lake Road for a Stolen Vehicle. The owner of the vehicle stated that when he woke up and went outside at approximately 5 a.m., he observed two of their vehicles missing from the driveway of the residence. The keys were left inside of the unlocked vehicle when taken.

On Sept. 10 at approximately 6:14 p.m.: Matthew Kovacs, of Morristown, was stopped by the Far Hills PD for an expired registration, Rt 287 NB. Upon further investigation it was determined that Kovacs driver’s license was suspended. He was arrested and processed at the scene. Kovacs was issued multiple summonses for traffic violations and released.

On Sept. 10 at approximately 8:14 p.m.: Jose Cruz, of Jersey City was stopped by the Far Hills PD for a suspended license offense found by random license plate inquiry, Rt 202 NB. Upon further investigation it was determined that Cruz was in possession of drug paraphernalia, specifically a marijuana grinder located in the front seat cup holder. He was arrested and processed. Cruz was issued multiple summonses for traffic violations and released.

On Sept. 17 at approximately 11:15 a.m.: The Far Hills Police were dispatched to a residence on Sherwood Farm Road, for a report of a mulch fire. When police arrived the fire was out and appeared to have been caused by a low voltage lighting source. FD arrived a short time later. All units cleared taking no further action.

On Sept. 17 at approximately 11:37 p.m.: Gregory Minard, of Lebanon was stopped by the Far Hills Police Department for unsafe lane change, 287 southbound. Upon further investigation it was determined that Minard was driving while intoxicated. He was arrested and processed. Minard was issued three motor vehicle summonses for Driving While Intoxicated, Unsafe Lane Change, and Failure To Give Proper Signal.
