BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Two new housing projects are coming to Basking Ridge.
The 198-unit Dewy Meadow housing project was finalized and the 24-unit Crown Court apartment complex was memorialized by the Bernards Township Planning Board during its March 5 meeting.
The Dewy Meadow project entails building 198 units in two buildings at 403 King George Road in the township. There will be one-, two- and three-bedroom units available. Rents have not been established, according to Joe Korn of Bernard Plaza Associates.

The units would be built at the abandoned A&P site in the Dewy Meadow Shopping Center. Korn is hoping to begin construction this summer/fall.
The Crown Court project calls for 24 units of which 20 are market value and four affordable housing units. The units will be a mix of one-, two- and three- bedroom apartments, Korn said.

The complex will be constructed on Crown Court Drive off of Spring Valley Boulevard and near King George Road.
Both housing projects are a result of a settlement in March 2018 following an affordable housing litigation filed against the township by Affordable Housing intervenors, Bernards Plaza Associates, LLC and Crown Court Plaza, LLC.
