2 Stolen Luxury Cars Take Off Through Basking Ridge
A red Audi A6 stolen from Bernardsville and a BMW M3 stolen fro Freehold were spotted in Basking Ridge by police before taking off.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Two stolen cars were spotted driving through Basking Ridge by police before taking off onto I-287.
On Saturday, Aug. 3 a red Audi A6 was reported stolen from Sycamore Court in Bernardsville at around 2:25 a.m. A white 2018 BMW M3 was used in theft, police said.
Bernards Township Police Sgt. Robert Herndon spotted both vehicles at the intersection of North Finley and Rt. 202 in Basking Ridge.

When tried to stop the vehicles they got away and sped off onto I-287 north, police said.
Herndon chased after the stolen cars and later found the BMW abandoned on Route 24 East. The BMW had been reported stolen out of Freehold a few days before.
