BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The week of Sept. 25 is set to be a busy one in Bernards Township. Check out what is happening around town as we highlight events coming up during the week.

Monday

Drop-off for the costume exchange begins on Monday. Residents can drop off costumes, that are clean and free of rips and stains, from Sept. 25 to 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Recreation Department at 1 Collyer Lane.

Tuesday

A ribbon-cutting for a new paved roadway connecting the Bernards Township Municipal Building and Ridge High School will be held on Sept. 26 at 4:30 p.m. at 1 Collyer Lane.

The Bernards Township Committee will meet at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Municipal Building, 1 Collyer Lane. On the agenda are the three ordinances in relation to land development and building and housing; and Eagle Scout presentation; and a resolution to award a contract for $229,000 to repair and renovate the front and back entryway of the library.

Wednesday

The Bernards Township Library Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Library's Program Room A (Lower Level) at 32 S Maple St. On the agenda are the approval of 2024 Library holidays and closings; an approval of 2024 Library Board Meeting Schedule; and a motion to approve an exception to the Policy On Sale of Items, to allow a Holiday Vendor Boutique in the Library on November 18, 2023 as a Friends of BTL fundraiser.

Thursday

On Sept. 28 at 7 p.m., residents will be able to learn how their tax dollars are used in Bernards Township in a presentation called "How is our tax money used to address the needs of this town?" This is the latest topic to be presented in the Understanding Bernards series.
