24 Roads Slated To Be Repaved In Basking Ridge In 2023
The list includes new roadwork projects added in 2023 along with projects that carried over from 2022. See which roads are on the list:
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Committee allocated $2.5 million for roadwork in the 2023 budget, which covers the reconstruction and resurfacing of 15 roads. There are also an additional 9 projects being carried over from 2022.
"91 percent of the capital budget will go toward maintenance of the existing infrastructure and replacement of aged equipment," said Bernards Township Chief Financial Officer Sean McCarthy at the April 25 meeting. "A significant portion will go toward reconstruction and resurfacing."
Roughly $2.5 million has been allocated in engineering capital that is earmarked for road work in 2023. McCarthy shared a preliminary list of roads where work is expected to be done, which includes new projects for 2023, DOT grant projects, and projects carried over from 2022.
