30 Basking Ridge Students Graduate From RVCC
30 Basking Ridge students were among the more than 1,300 to be awarded associate degrees or certificates from RVCC on Saturday.
BRANCHBURG, NJ — A total of 30 Basking Ridge students were among the more than 1,300 to be awarded associate degrees or certificates during Raritan Valley Community College's spring commencement on Saturday in Branchburg.

The Honorable Paul W. Armstrong (Ret.), a nationally recognized pioneer of patients' rights, delivered the commencement address.

RVCC's student commencement speaker was Randall S. Petronko of Flemington, a US Navy Veteran who was deployed to the Persian Gulf in 2003, prior to and during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After cancer derailed his military career, Petronko enrolled at RVCC. He is graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Deborah Gottesman Corbett of Montclair, Professor of Psychology, delivered the faculty commencement address.

The other graduates speaking during commencement included Barbara Kania of Somerville and Sierra Cole of Branchburg. Kania, an Honors College student, introduced the commencement speaker.
