$33K Raised For NJ Boys Whose Father Died On Camping Trip

A fundraiser has been established for the 4 sons of Adrien Hachey, who was found dead on a family camping trip to Pennsylvania.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Support is pouring in for the family of a Basking Ridge man who was found dead during a camping trip in Pennsylvania.

Police found Adrien Hachey, 43, dead in a small body of water near his family's campsite in Luzerne County on Aug. 22.

An education fund for his sons Reid (16), Nathan (14), Alec (11), and Evan (9) has raised more than 33,000 as of Wednesday afternoon.

The boys' grandparents will keep the money in a trust fund "to cover a portion of what's needed for the boys' educations," according to the GoFundMe.

A visitation and funeral for Hachey were Tuesday, Aug. 30, according to his obituary at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home.

Hachey was born in Morristown and was a 1997 graduate of Ridge High School. He worked as a general foreman for J.R. Prisco Inc. for 25 years after getting an associate degree in construction management technologies from Raritan Valley Community College, his obituary says.
