5K to Support Bernards Township Kids with Special Needs

Bernards Township, NJ -- The Bernards Parents with Exceptional Children will host the fourth annual Run With Me 5K Run/Walk.

The event will be held on Sunday, May 15 at 9:30 a.m. 1 mile health walk and at 10 a.m. the 5K race at Mountain Park (corner Mountain Rd. and Martinsville Rd.) in Basking Ridge.

The event includes:

• USATF-NJ sanctioned race awarding 500 Grand Prix points
• Trophies for top overall male and female finishers; Medals for top male and female in 5 year age groups (10 & under, up to 80+)
• Scoring by Tristate Timing
• Water stations on the course
• Post-race refreshments
• T-shirts guaranteed for all pre-registered participants
• Door prize giveaways (must be present to win)
• Apple watch and Amazon gift card raffle
• Kids Activities

Bernards PEC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting children with learning and developmental disabilities and their families. Race proceeds will be used to fund ongoing Disability Awareness and Sensitivity Workshops for all Bernards Township students in grades 3 and 6; mentor training; parent workshops; teacher wish list purchases for special education classrooms; the Care Trak search and rescue program for children at risk for wandering; and recreational programs for children with special needs.
