• Bonnie Brae Youth Treatment Center In Bernards Township Owes $1.5M After State Comptroller Audit (patch.com) — Residents in Basking Ridge should know that Bonnie Brae, the Liberty Corner youth treatment center on Valley Road, has been ordered to repay more than $1.5 million to New Jersey’s Medicaid program after a state audit. Investigators cited serious documentation and service shortfalls, while the organization says it has upgraded recordkeeping, staffing oversight, and compliance training to better protect the vulnerable youth it serves.
• Bernards Township Approves 6 Police Promotions, New Animal Control And Patrol Officer (patch.com) — Residents in Basking Ridge will see several changes in their police and animal control services after the Bernards Township Committee approved six police promotions and two new hires. A new patrol officer and animal control officer are joining the ranks, while multiple officers are stepping into higher leadership roles, with a public swearing-in ceremony planned for July.
• Baseball: Ridge Eliminates Hillsborough, 7-0, in Somerset County Tournament Quarterfinal (tapinto.net) — Ridge High School’s baseball team, playing at home in Basking Ridge, dominated Hillsborough 7–0 behind six one‑hit innings from Dmitri Romer in the Somerset County Tournament quarterfinals. Strong hitting from several Red Devils powered an early lead, and Lucas Liston closed it out. Ridge now advances to face Watchung Hills in Monday’s semifinal at TD Bank Park.
