Basking Ridge Attorney Named Among 'Best Lawyers' In Nation

Robert E. Nies of Basking Ridge has been selected for inclusion in the 2012 edition of "Best Lawyers in America," a highly-respected peer-review publication, Wolff & Samson, a law firm in West Orange, announced on Friday.
Nies is a member of the firm. He is being recognized by as a nationwide 'Best Lawyer' in the areas of bankruptcy and creditor-cebtor rights and also bankruptcy litigation, according to the law firm.
Nies practices in Wolff & Samson’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group, the announcement said. The firm said he has been a legal adviser in the business community for more than 25 years, in the areas of a wide range of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights issues, complex commercial litigations and mediations.

Nies received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1979, the announcement said. He previously earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from Rutgers University in New Jersey in 1976.
First published in 1983, "Best Lawyers in America," is based on an extensive annual peer-review survey, the announcement said. The new U.S. edition reviews more than 41,149 attorneys based on more than 3.9 million detailed evaluations on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their own and related practices.
